Franchise Network Operations Director / Board Member

On behalf of our client - large international retail chain, we are looking for an experienced Operations Director / Board Member who will be responsible for comprehensive management of the Operations Department and building development strategies for the franchise network.

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive Operations Department Management: Oversee all operational functions within the franchise network.
• Strategic Network Development: Build and execute long-term strategies for franchise store growth and efficiency. Recommend and implement sales-driving solutions, delegating and verifying task completion.
• Sales Budget and Profitability: Plan, execute, and manage the sales budget, ensuring business profitability.
• Process Optimization: Manage and optimize operational processes across the franchise network.
• Budget Planning and Monitoring: Plan, monitor, and adjust budgets, including sales, to achieve financial targets.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously analyze and recommend cost optimization strategies.
• Task Supervision: Ensure proper execution of all tasks within the operational division.
• Performance Monitoring: Control and monitor sales strategy implementation and store profitability, collaborating with key departments. Recommend closures and implement recovery plans for underperforming stores.
• Store Support & Compliance: Develop support tools and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
• Policy and Standard Enforcement: Supervise adherence to company policies, strategies, and operational standards.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with other departments to improve company-wide processes.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial reports to guide strategic decisions and adjustments.

Requirements:

• Proven track record in leading retail/Franchise Networks as Operations Director/COO
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in complex, matrix-structured international organizations
• Effectively navigates dynamic, fast-paced environments through proactive change management and flexibility
• Exceptional leadership skills, including building and maintaining authority
• Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, with data-driven decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others
• Manages demanding situations with composure and maintains performance standards, demonstrating sound decision-making abilities
• Highly developed negotiation skills
• Expertise in implementing and managing organizational changes
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with a solid understanding of financial management
• C1 level English proficiency required
• Valid category B driving license
• Willingness to travel frequently (Poland & abroad), up to 40% of the time
