Head of Finance & Accounting (Interim)

Wyser, an executive search firm specializing in the recruitment of managerial positions, is currently conducting a recruitment process on behalf of one of its clients – a well-established production and trading company with annual revenues exceeding PLN 1 billion.

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to take on the role of Head of Finance and Accounting in an interim capacity. The ideal candidate will be available at short notice and open to relocating to a city located on the Baltic Sea. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization and play a key role in shaping its financial operations during a pivotal phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team (10 FTE), fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with local and international regulations.

• Manage financial and business controlling activities, including profitability analysis, cost control, and KPI monitoring.

• Prepare financial reports and business insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

• Supervise the year-end closing process and statutory reporting, including tax declarations.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, including leadership roles.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (required).

• Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are a strong advantage.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial data clearly to various stakeholders.

• High level of independence, responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Willingness to relocate and start on short notice.
