For our Client, an international law firm, we are looking for a person for the position of Head of HR (with relocation).

This new role will be instrumental in helping company move from a classic HR support model where the day to day needs of the firm are served to a proactive, added value, managed HR model. This is an opportunity to design and shape the HR functions and create an environment where our Client improves its business and brand through its people.

This role is for a person who is ready to leave Poland for at least a few months and who is ready to travel a lot.


Job description:

  • The Head of HR will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction, specifically in the areas of talent attraction and retention, change management, organizational and performance management, succession planning, training & development, and compensation & benefits
  • Directly responsible for supervising the HR managers in 10 countries and indirectly responsible for all employees within the HR
  • Understand business needs / goals and create an HR strategy that helps deliver them
  • Translate HR strategy into firm-wide initiatives, communicate them to local HRMs, coordinate and ensure their implementation
  • Act as a strategic partner for the firm-wide management (Firm Managing Partner, Firm Management Committee) in connection with human relations
  • Provide guidance to the office managing partners, management and generally the partners of the Firm with challenging HR-related decisions
  • Provide guidance in relation to the partners on productivity assessment, development, training and succession
  • Further develop planning, budgeting and people reporting at the firm-wide level and in line with existing as well as future business needs and plans
  • Oversee the work of, and provide guidance and methodology to the local HRMs when needed
  • Initiate, communicate and implement HR-related projects at the firm-wide level, targeted especially at talent acquisition and retention, succession planning, key people development, leadership development, compensation and benefits, coordinate the implementation with local HRMs
  • Evaluate existing HR systems, propose solutions for improvement and ensure their implementation to set up a user-friendly, cost-efficient and business-supportive HR administration
  • Focus on understanding culture, create the EVP at the firm-wide level and translate it into external (for future candidates) and internal (for existing colleagues) initiatives to effectively communicate company as an Employer of Choice; involve office managing partners and local HRMs as change agents
  • Focus especially on building a sense of togetherness and belonging, our people´s well-being, mental health, diversity, development and motivation, coordinate the implementation with local HRMs


Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a professional services firm or a technology company
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience and at least five years of international HR experience
  • Strategic thinking, as well as experience with developing and implementing HR strategies
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Willingness to travel
