Our client is a leading insurance brokerage group in Poland, recognized for its rapid growth and diverse service offerings and backed by an international private equity fund based in New York City. Established as a key player in the market, the company specializes in property and casualty insurance, commercial motor insurance, and reinsurance. It operates through multiple divisions, delivering comprehensive insurance solutions and risk management services. The group serves more than 1,500 clients, continually enhancing its market position through strategic initiatives and partnerships.


This position will be a one of a key positions with a lot of authonomy but also challenging due to company's ambitious organic growth plan (from 160ee to a much larger numbers) and M&A activities in the near future.

The HR Head will take full responsibility for the creation, implementation and execution of HR strategies and activities, creating from scratch an HR excellence center providing HR solutions with an understanding of the needs of each company in the group, focusing on one common culture and processes.


Job description:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives in group that are closely aligned with overall business strategy, reporting directly to the COO
  • Lead and build the HR department, nurturing a small yet effective team (2-3 ee) dedicated to supporting employees and organizational growth
  • Be actively involved in the day-to-day HR activities, ensuring a streamlined, efficient, and responsive HR function
  • Oversee recruitment efforts to attract, hire, and retain top-tier talent that contributes to the company’s growth and culture
  • Shaping, improving and supervising all HR processes such as: Recruitment, Onboarding, L&D, Comp&Ben, Employer Branding
  • Implement and manage effective performance systems to elevate employee productivity and satisfaction. Staying up to date with market trends, recommending and implementing tools, processes and solutions that increase the effectiveness of the organization
  • Supporting Managers with management challenges, advising on best HR practices at different stages of the employee lifecycle, helping in developing teams, building commitment and solving problems. 
  • Supporting Managers in improving the management model in the organization (structure, job evaluation, processes, career paths, training and development, support for strategy implementation)
  • Building and promoting a organizational culture fucusing on a sense of togetherness, people´s well-being, diversity, communication, transparency, innovation and a friendly workplace
  • Facilitate the establishment and execution of the company's ambitious organic growth plan (from 160ee to much more) and M&A activities in the near future. Be proactive, advise and support all these activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Promote a continuous learning environment, enhancing employee skills and career progression
  • Ensure adherence to legal standards and develop policies that support a positive, compliant workplace environment
  • Cooperate with management boards and key stakeholders in each company, be oriented to their needs and provide effective solutions for the entire group.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the Financial/ Proffesional Services/ sales-oriented sectors
  • Proven hands-on experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives
  • Exceptional team leadership skills with experience managing and developing small, high-performance teams
  • Direct experience reporting to executive leadership and contributing to strategic business decisions
  • Fluent English and Polish is a must
