Opis Stanowiska

We are currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer for a rapidly growing fintech company operating in the online payments sector. The company holds a National Payment Institution license and is part of a larger group known for its innovative SaaS solutions for e-commerce and related industries.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing product development, customer service, legal/compliance, AML/KYC, and sales. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive growth and innovation, ensuring the company's success in the competitive online payment market.

Hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% travel required


Job responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic product growth and lead the development of strategic partnerships, contributing to overall organizational growth, operational efficiencies, and market share expansion
  • Increase the differentiation of the merchant portfolio and foster customer base growth
  • Oversee all operational functions, ensuring compliance and mitigating operational risks
  • Effectively collaborate with Legal, AML, Risk, Finance, IT, and Product Enablement to optimize resource allocation, drive market leadership, and foster team growth
  • Establish clear goals for all managed areas, including KPIs and the identification and pursuit of operational, financial, and product opportunities. Continuously monitor progress and measure achievements
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with technology and financial partners, encompassing negotiation, relationship maintenance, churn mitigation, and product lifecycle management
  • Ensure regular and transparent communication with Senior Leadership

 

Job requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience: Proven track record as a Senior Manager/Director in the Payment Service Provider (PSP) industry, preferably in Online Gateway Solutions
  • Deep understanding of the online payments ecosystem: Expertise in online payment processing, including payment gateways, merchant acquiring, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • E-Commerce experience: Candidates must have e-commerce experience, specifically in understanding customer behavior, optimizing checkout processes, and integrating with various payment gateways
  • Strong business acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, analyze market trends, and identify new business opportunities
  • Regulatory knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant payment regulations, including PSD2, KYC/AML, and data privacy regulations
  • Team leadership and management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve complex business challenges
  • Excellent command of Polish and good English communication skills
