Following a period of rapid growth, the company has secured a leading position in its category and is now accelerating its expansion across the DACH region, with Germany as the primary focus. Its business model is rooted in cross‑border trade and supported by strong operational enablers, including logistics orchestration and embedded financing solutions.
The role (mission)
As DACH Market Expansion Lead, you will shape the next stage of the company’s growth in Germany — accelerating adoption among buyers and suppliers, enhancing local relevance, and boosting activity and repeat engagement in a competitive landscape. The role offers significant ownership and combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, directly influencing one of the company’s key European markets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Germany’s go‑to‑market push, accelerating adoption and unlocking fast marketplace growth.
- Translate local insights into concrete platform, UX, messaging, and commercial adjustments tailored to German users.
- Build a strong supply base by identifying and onboarding top suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers across DACH.
- Drive localized marketing initiatives and work with the marketing team/agency to boost SEO, content performance, partnerships, and brand visibility.
- Represent the company across the DACH region at trade fairs, conferences, panels, webinars, and in German‑speaking media.
- Stay ahead of trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor moves — and turn them into actionable opportunities.
- Partner with the central sales team to strengthen relationships and support high‑stakes negotiations with key enterprise clients in Germany.
Requirements
- Native or near‑native German (C2) and business‑level English, both written and spoken.
- Readiness to work in a hybrid model from Warsaw (1 day per week in the office).
- 5+ years of experience in market development, e‑commerce/marketplaces, growth, or strategic marketing — ideally with strong exposure to the German market.
- Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, including supply–demand balance and digital platform mechanics.
- Experience in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments, preferably with exposure to commercial/trading organizations or B2B marketplaces.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to turn market insights into actionable execution.
- Excellent presentation and public‑speaking abilities; confidence in external representation.
- Willingness to travel to Germany for key partner meetings and industry events.
- Startup/scale‑up mindset — fast decision‑making, high autonomy, and comfort operating with minimal “safety nets.”
- Problem‑solver with a delivery focus — able to diagnose issues, break them down into actionable tasks, activate teams/AI, and drive outcomes.
- Preferred traits — ex‑consulting background, entrepreneurial experience, strong ownership, bias for action, and a “fighter” mentality.
- Ability to build and operate AI agents and workflows, including hands‑on “vibe coding” using large language models to automate tasks, accelerate execution, and enhance personal productivity.
