About the client

Our client is a large, international retail organisation operating a broad store network across multiple markets in Europe. The company is undergoing major transformation within its finance landscape and is looking to strengthen its capability in designing scalable, compliant, and business-oriented solutions supporting a complex, fast-moving environment.


Key responsibilities

  • Shape and oversee solution architecture within the finance domain, in close partnership with the wider enterprise architecture function.
  • Contribute to the target design of a modern ERP finance landscape, ensuring alignment with business needs across areas such as accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, consolidation, and financial planning.
  • Define how finance solutions should connect with other business areas, including supply chain, retail, commercial functions, and master data.
  • Convert external regulations, statutory obligations, and internal group reporting expectations into practical and compliant system capabilities.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are consistent, future-ready, and aligned with the broader business and technology direction.


Candidate profile

  • Strong background in solution architecture within the finance systems domain.
  • Proven experience working on ERP-related transformation initiatives in complex, multi-country organisations.
  • Good understanding of core finance processes, including accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, consolidation, and planning.
  • Experience designing integrations between finance platforms and adjacent business domains.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory and reporting requirements and translate them into system and process solutions.
  • Comfortable working across business and technology stakeholders, combining strategic thinking with hands-on architectural input.
  • Experience in retail, consumer, or other high-scale operational environments will be an advantage.
