For our client, an international company in the retail sector, we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support the launch and development of a newly established logistics center located in the Gdańsk area.
This role combines strategic partnership with hands‑on operational impact and offers a unique opportunity to build HR structures from the ground up in a dynamic environment.
Job description:
• Managing the full scope of HR processes for the new logistics center
• Leading, developing, and supervising a small local HR team
• Coordinating recruitment for hourly and salaried positions and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
• Supporting the management team in employee relations, conflict resolution, and maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment
• Overseeing onboarding, training activities, and development initiatives
• Coordinating performance management processes and development plans
• Ensuring compliance with labor law and internal HR policies
• Cooperating with temporary employment agencies and supporting labor planning
• Managing HR data, preparing reports, and collaborating with central HR, Health & Safety and payroll teams
• Supporting the logistics center manager and shift leaders in daily operational challenges
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a role with direct team responsibility
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, or production environments
• Strong knowledge of labor law and health & safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment
• High level of independence, business maturity and relationship‑building skills
• Experience working with temporary employment agencies
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of SAP or other HRIS systems is an advantage
• English language at a C1 level
