We are partnering with an international retail organization with a large, nationwide network of stores. As the company undergoes significant strategic transformation, we are seeking a Regional Operations Director to oversee several provinces in Poland and manage a portfolio of several dozen stores. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with exceptional people‑orientation, coaching skills, and the ability to lead through influence in a highly structured and evolving retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing operational and commercial performance of several dozen stores across multiple provinces.
  • Implementing company strategy and supporting large‑scale transformation initiatives.
  • Driving sales growth, profitability, and cost efficiency across the region.
  • Managing sales and HR budgets, monitoring KPIs, and optimizing performance.
  • Engaging, motivating, and developing regional and store teams to build independence and accountability.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational standards, procedures, and company policies.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity, reacting proactively and strategically.
  • Leading change projects and collaborating closely with central teams (Commercial, Marketing, HR, Operations).

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in a multi‑site operational leadership role within retail.
  • Experience managing distributed teams across a large geographic area.
  • Higher education in management, finance, or a related field.
  • Fluent Polish and English at B2 level or higher.
  • Strong people‑orientation with proven coaching, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales, improving KPIs, and influencing teams without direct authority.
  • High independence, strong decision‑making, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel and Power BI, plus openness to new technologies and process improvements.
